Well I have tried to make a photo album here and to no avail.

I have mailed several times to get advise and think I am just plain stupid as I don't understand what the help people are telling.

So I am just going to have to insert images and hope that I don't use up too much bandwidth and have Blog-City spank me!

Most of these will already be on the links I've previously posted but these are my favourite shots and as such deserve a post of their own.

Roughly halfway between Cardiff and Barry is a place called Cosmeston Lakes. It houses a nature reserve for swans, ducks and gulls. Bridle paths for local horseriders and a medieval village. Kevin and I took my camera out there one really bitterly cold day and I spent an hour practicing my motion shots, my action shots and my close ups. The most important lesson I learned that day was that patience really is a virtue when it comes to camera work and that I needed a tripod and a flask of coffee!

This was a shot I took that I harshly cropped to keep just the swan as the image but I like it. I also learned that day that my camera would allow me to take photos and edit to bring out the best in them.

The one below is of a duck just as it climbed out of the water. I loved the fact that the droplets look as though he has diamonds on his lower body.

The Swan below was a shot I waited an age for. I would line up the shot, wait, then as I was waiting something would catch my eye, Kevin would speak to me or another bird would come into shot and I'd miss the one I wanted.

In the end I put the camera on auto action and just held the shutter down. When I got home and deleting most of the shots, there...was the very one I wanted. So it got saved and here it is for you all.

I am rarely moved to much religious thought but looking at the wingspan here you can clearly see where man got his early ideas of angels wings from.
